We offer fresh and tasty produce, native plants and more grown at our farm and by neighboring Delaware farmers. We are now offering our own Ramsey's Wagyu Beef and Woodside Farm Icecream for sale.

Our Own Wagyu Beef
As of August 1st, 2025, online ordering has closed.
Cuts are now available first-come, first-served at both Ramsey’s Farm and New Roots produce stands.
To purchase beef while the stands are closed, please call the farm line at 302-496-6426.
We’ve also opened a beef share waitlist for those interested in purchasing a ¼, ½, or whole cow.

The owners of Ramsey's Beef, Stewart Ramsey and his son Carl, recognize that the general public's access to humanely raised, grass-fed beef is limited.
The Ramsey Family has farmed cattle since 1860, when the dairy barn stood in the Brandywine Valley. The farm now operates as our Pick-Your-Own pumpkin patch, Ramsey's Farm. Our family beef cattle occupy our farms in Cochranville, PA and Wilmington, DE. Our herds have remained small and sustainable - ensuring each cow receives the care and attention it needs.
In 2020, Ramsey's Beef, a father-son operation, was started in hopes of sharing the taste and quality that typically only farmers and their families enjoy. We find it important to know where your food comes from and that it is raised in a humane way!

Our cows are hand-raised their entire lives.
We do not send them to a 'fat farm' where they pack on the pounds before they are butchered. Our herds are moved between farms as they grow, allowing for larger pastures to meet their dietary needs - these guys and gals need a lot of space! Our herd eats fresh grass and receive grass hay and select grains (grown on our farm). They enjoy pumpkins as a special treat at the end of the Fall.
Upon butchering, the meat hangs for 21 days at our USDA certified butcher before being cut, vacuum packed, and flash frozen. This allows for the freshest frozen beef possible.

Highly prized for their rich flavor, Wagyu cattle are known to produce quality beef known for its extreme marbling, tenderness, and superior flavor. Originally brought over to America from Japan, Wagyu cattle are much rarer than other breeds and their meat is highly sought after. Wagyu beef is found to contain a higher percentage of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, healthier than other beef options.

Farm-Raised Chicken Pre-Orders
Raised right here on our farm with no antibiotics and free-range access. All chickens are vacuum packed for freshness.
Each deposit includes one chicken with your choice of:
• Whole
• Cut in quarters (4 pieces)
• Fully cut up: 2 boneless breasts, 2 thighs, 2 drumsticks, and 2 wings
Fresh, never frozen if picked up during your selected pickup weekend.
Average chicken weight is approximately 5.5 lbs.
Pricing:
• $7/lb - Whole
• $8/lb - Cut in quarters
• $10/lb - Fully cut up with boneless breasts
A $20 non-refundable deposit per chicken is due at ordering and will be applied toward your final balance at pickup.
Pickup weekends are listed on each item at purchase. Orders must be picked up during the selected weekend.
Orders not picked up by Sunday at 6pm will be frozen for later pickup. Orders left longer than 2 weeks will forfeit their deposit.
